My online time might be changing in the near future. Due to issues at work (like them cutting my pay (*%&**^%$!!!) I’m now job-hunting another job. I very much doubt I’m going to find another that will let me stay in bed til 10am every day and go to bed at 2am, which is probably going to mean shifting my online time to earlier hours than before.
On the other hand, a nice quiet office where I can blog and post to SLU forums from work would be nice…
So I have been working on my new land and, I hope, here for the long haul because this is just the most awesome parcel of land and I’d never have imagined I could get something like this. Its only 1500-ish sq.m but it’s protected on 2 sides; Linden road behind, and Linden ocean in front, and sailing access to pretty much the entirety of the old continent. You just don’t get anything as good as this on a flat square Estate island. I don’t think I would ever consider anything but Mainland ever again.
Anyway. I brought over the same house as before, though I’m thinking of going with something a little smaller, because it looks bare inside and I’m using the prims for something else… Up in the sky I’ve built what I call the Sky Garden (although it still lacks some decorative touches like trees and flowers). Its intended to be a venue for public gatherings; theres a seated area for discussion meetings, and a dance floor as well.
So I have also set up a group called Divine Badger (this is the name of the parcel – badger being the sim and Divine is my landlady’s brand name) and I’m going to be holding weekly philosophy discussions every Saturday lunchtime (SLT), starting March 7th. Hopefully someone other than Salo will turn up…
I hadn’t heard of this, until someone posted on the SLU forums that it was closing down at the end of the month. I went to have a look, bumped into Mocksoup, and we explored together for a little while. It really is an amazing build.
